Official Notice: 2009 Annual Meeting

The Michigan Guild of Artists and Artisans will conduct its Annual Meeting on

July 19, 2009, at the Holiday Inn North Campus, 3600 Plymouth Rd., Ann Arbor from 10 a.m until

1 p.m.

Official Notice: Nominations for the Board of Directors Invited

The Guild invites nominations for the Board of Directors . Any Guild member in good standing may run for the Board. All eligible voters will receive ballots by mail after May 15, 2009. Newly elected Board members will begin their three-year terms in August 2009. Three (3) three-year positions will be filled in this election.

The Board meets 12 times each year including a two-day meeting in October. Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Board members are also expected to chair at least one committee. Mileage is paid for Board meetings but not for committee meetings.

Resolutions and recommendations to be presented at the Annual Meeting, July 20, 2008, must be received at the Guild offices by June 1, 2009.

To propose a resolution, use the following format:

Reasons for the Resolution.

Proposed by: Name, address, daytime phone, email (if available) and membership status

To make a recommendation, simply use a letter format.
