Artist Statement

I consider myself a flame work/lampwork artist and jewelry designer, making beads individually, by hand, with a gas torch and a kiln to anneal the beads.  Each bead is created from molten glass.  My creative inspirations are color and design.  The natural environment provides many ideas for colors and shapes, such as my animals and flowers, but I also enjoy the mixture of colors in pleasing palettes, for example, blues, mauves and lavender.  Some creations utilize bright colors, so you will never know what I will be doing next!  Sometimes the whimsical influences my glass bead making for both color choices, design or shape.
