Artist Statement

Rick's work originates from an appreciation of the craft work of traditional peoples through Anthropology studies and his Peace Corps experience and from his love of rocks and mountains. Pieces are slab built in sandy stoneware with colored clay overlays and matt glazes in landscape, patterned, contemporary abstract and western designs.
