Artist Statement

My primary subject matter is details of old buildings. I often concentrate on relatively small areas abstracted from the original scene, using perspective and the play of light and shadow to shape the final image. I believe that realizing the final image as a print is as much a part of the artistic process as is capturing the image in the first place. I do most of my work in black and white.
