Standards Review Information

2008 Standards Review Schedule

The Standards Review is an extremely important component of Guild membership. Remember, no member can exhibit in the Summer Art Fair without passing the Standards Review.

The Review is based on a three-year cycle; each year a specific segment of the membership is scheduled to review. In 2008, that group includes:

•  Members assigned to standards Review Year A.

•  Members who have never been through a review, including new members.

•  Members who failed last year's review in one or more media.

•  Members who have been instructed by the Standards Committee to review.

•  Members who wish to review for any reason.

(Reasons may include but not be limited to changing medium, adding new work to existing medium, missing scheduled review or skipping the review for several years.)

2008 Timetable:

August 3, 2008 : All applications and information was mailed to those who must review.  

September 14, 2008 : All applications and slides are due in the Guild office (postmarked). 

October 9, 2008 : Standards Review is conducted.  

November 5, 2008 : Notifications of Review results are mailed to all participants.

Standards Committee Chair, James Reinert, reminds members that "there is no remedy if you are ineligible for the Summer Art Fair because of a missed Standards Review."

Membership Calendar 2008

**Cancel up to and including deadline, fee is refunded to artist, less $50 administration fee. Cancel after, deadline, no refund is given.
